Teaching + Learning

I've had such an incredible support system and have been provided with such a solid base. I'm going in confident because I've been so supported and challenged by the incredible professors I've had at HCC.

At HCC, we are committed to offering a transformational experience characterized by an approach to educating the whole person that continuously meets students where they are – socially, financially, and geographically – and engages them in real-world learning experiences. HCC is committed to enhancing and expanding innovative teaching practices that support a quality education across all academic programs. To meet this goal, HCC must make strategic investments in the academic program to ensure HCC students continue to graduate with the knowledge and skills required for success, and to continue meeting the needs of our regional employers.
This campaign endeavors to raise the necessary funds to:
Design and implement a paid internship program for all students through partnerships with our region’s largest employers.
Expand our Integrative Learning programs that promote integrative teaching and learning across the general education curriculum by investing in learning communities, service learning, and other opportunities that support collaboration, team- building, critical thinking, and knowledge of diversity.
Build upon the success of HCC’s myriad academic support services to ensure students are met where they are and are equipped to succeed.
Attract, retain, and inspire exceptional HCC faculty and staff, who have always been the cornerstone of the HCC experience, by enhancing our Center for Excellence to serve as the very best resource for professional development.
